The Taipei Animal Shelter is a public animal shelter that is home to more than a hundred stray dogs. The dogs that enter the shelter don’t have names – but are merely given a set of numbers that mark its date of entry – until the day they leave the shelter. In their unforeseeable future, their departure may be marked by their adoption or perhaps even death.
In a society predominantly populated by man, why do shelters exist? Are they for the dogs or for us?( Director/ Liao ching-yao)
