China City Database, with data source from National Bureau of Statistics, is a database about the economic and social development of China's cities. In this database 314 cities (together with these capitals of provinces and autonomous regions and cities at prefecture level) are included.
Indicators cover these statistics of population, employment and wages, land resources, overall economy, output of agricultural products, industry, fixed asset investment, commercial economy, foreign trade, government finance, tourism, financial intermediation, education, science, culture, public health, transport, post and telecommunication, people's living conditions, general survey of cities, and environment protection. Data date back to 1984 with yearly update.
China Urban-Rural Construction Data base, whose data comes from ministry of housing and urban-rural development, People's Republic of China, is a comprehensive reflection of the construction and development of municipal public facilities in urban and rural areas in our country. It provides the statistics of municipal public utility construction situation covering more than 650 cities, counties, towns in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. The database contains the municipal public facilities level of cities, counties and villages, the land use for construction, fiscal income and expenditure for maintenance and construction, fixed asset investment for municipal utilities, fees for water supply, water saving, gas, central heating, rail transport, the cities' National Parks, roads and bridges connecting urban and rural, drainage and sewage, landscaping, city sanitation, and the basic situation of village construction. The establishment of the database is convenient for the world to have a better understanding of the whole picture of Chinese urban and rural construction. The data is updated annually since 1978.
China regional economic database has five sub-databases, gathering data from National Bureau of Statistics, providing statistics of the nation, 31 provincial-level administrative units, over 400 prefecture-level administrative units, more than 2,000 county-level administrative units in the aspects of industry, agriculture, education, health, comprehensive economic, capital construction, social security and other aspects. It also contains the statistics of 10 major economic zones which relates to the national economic and social development. It is used for learning all aspects of regional economic and social development in China, and used for researching and analyzing the operational status. It facilitates to fully grasp dynamic economic development of each region and to accurately grasp the development direction in the future. The data has been updated annually since 1999.
