《袁世凯全集数据库》是海内外首次整理完成的一部清末民初时期重要大型珍稀文献的数据库产品，收集了中国大陆、台湾、香港以及韩国、日本保存的袁氏传世文字，包括已刊、未刊档案，以及公私收藏，全库逾3,600万字，5.6条文献，是中国国家清史纂修工程项目重要文献成果。

袁世凯是19世纪-20世纪之交清末民初最重要的人物，影响、左右、和控制中国政坛20余年。辛亥革命起，他扮演了终结清王朝的主要角色。

本数据库弥补了晚清民国相关研究领域内权威资料和一手资料不足的缺憾，为研究近现代政治、民主与帝制、现代科学的引入和发展、近现代中国外交政策的形成等诸多问题提供了不可或缺的宝贵史料。

The Collected Writings Database of Yuan Shikai is a unique complete collection of all existing writing of Yuan Shikai. The collections include the published and unpublished writing of Yuan as well as letters, various documents, and personal papers written between 1875 and 1916. The database includes nearly 56,000 documents complied by the National Qing Dynasty Compiling Project.

Yuan Shikai was the most important figure in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China between 1875 and 1916. He was the main power broker of the time and had unrivaled influence on Chinese politics over 20 years, playing the central role in ending the Qing Dynasty after the Revolution of 1911. This is the most complete database of his material available.

The Collected Writings Database of Yuan Shikai is a comprehensive collection of material related to Yuan Shikai. It provides original resources for researching contemporary politics, democracy and monarchy, and for understanding the formation of modern China's foreign policy, and other related topics. It covers 1875 (The first year of Emperor Guangxu) to 1916, totaling 42 years of this political career, from age 16 to 58.

The Database collects all of Yuan Shikai's writings, including proclamations, laws and decrees, correspondence, legal documents, poetry, memorials to the throne, inscriptions, etc. The collected writing are organized chronologically, and are written in traditional Chinese characters.

Given Yuan's broad influence, the database contains information about all aspects of public life in the late Qing Dynasty, including politics, economy, military, technology, culture, education, diplomacy, and so on. There is extensive documentation of major historical events like the Westernization Movement, Constitutional Reform and Modernization, and the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. Of course, the major characters of the period, including Emperor Guangxu, Emperor Xuantong, Li Hung-Chang, Sun Yat-sen, ect. All feature heavily.
