The Laws and Regulations Database includes comprehensive information on China’s national-level laws and regulations as well as judicial interpretations, local regulations, legal trends, legislative history, contracts and legal forms, laws and regulations from foreign countries, and the laws and regulations of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Content in the Laws and Regulations database is derived from official sources to ensure authoritativeness, and the database incorporates a full range of user-friendly features including hyperlinks (via “Clink) to related legal information, search results filtering, and summary displays of linked information through our “Pkulaw window.”

The Judicial Case Database includes information on cases and judgments, case news reports, and arbitration awards and cases. The database includes carefully organized opinions and awards from mainland Chinese courts and other adjudicatory bodies in China, and include expert analysis and commentary, providing authoritative information for research and reference.
~ Laws Journal Database
The Law Journal Database contains indexes and the full article text of leading domestic law journals and legal bulletins, from their first publication to the present, with articles organized and categorized to meet the “one-stop” research demands of users. As in other databases, the Law Journal Database integrates the “Clink” function, allowing users to search with precision categories such as author, field of discipline, journal name, and publication date. The Law Journal Database also supports many text formats (pdf, txt, doc) for downloads and printing.

The English Translation Database includes information on laws and regulations, judicial cases, tax treaties, government issued law gazettes, legal news, and policy (white) papers. The database also incorporates the monthly legal periodical “China Law,” the Law Yearbook of China, and the English edition of the Peking University Law Review. All information is arranged in a bilingual format for ease of browsing and reference. Translations are completed by the Institute for Legal Translation Studies (ILTS) of Peking University, China’s first institute dedicated to the research and practice of legal translation.

The Special Reference Database focuses on the specific demands of law professionals and includes information on trial standards, law practice, legal literature as well as the text of the Law Yearbook of China and other non-journal legal literature. The database’s special law practice topics, through 20 categories of carefully selected laws and regulations that are best suited for real-world practice, isolates, analyzes, and explains thorny legal issues. The “Clink” function links related information to assist users in searches and retrieval.
