Chinese Snacks is a documentary special edition with four episodes. With the opening shot of the Walnut Harvest Festival in Lin an, Zhe Jiang Province, the documentary introduces the Chinese favourite snacks in different seasons and festivals within the four episodes. There are four themes for each episode: "Fruit in firm shells", Freshness preserved by time ", " Gifts from the land", " Sweet in life", respectively introducing nuts, meat products, fruit and vegetable, sweet preserved fruits. Four episodes tell the stories of different Chinese snack food cultures from the north to the south, from the urban to the rural.
